Mama Cynthia High Tea 2019
We’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to friends, family and the local businesses that supported the “Mama Cynthia Kenya” High Tea on Sunday the 8th September 2019. Among the raindrops, some tasty drops from Scotchman’s Hill, Tahbilk & Carlton United Brewery were enjoyed, listening the guys Seb, Gresh & Jake from “The Checkered Mates”. There were colourful cakes and traditional Kenyan outfits, one featuring the fantastic MC Pat. It was a special day, celebrating a cause that means so much to us.
We are excited to say that you’ve helped us to raise $5104.80!

The Great Ocean Road
Marathon
After months of training, we conquered the hills of the Great Ocean Road. With the support around us and inspired by our fellow Kenyan Marathon Runners we crossed the 44km line together in 3hrs 50minutes, raising $820 for Mama Cynthia Kenya.

Mama Cynthia High Tea Fundraiser 2015
What a day! The sun was shining, tunes were playing and many delicious bake-off treats were consumed. Thank you to the many friends and family that joined us to support Mama Cynthia. You helped to raise over $2500 on the day!
We would like to thank the small local business that helped to make the raffle and day a great success.

2012 Fundraiser -
Getting tough for the Kenyan Kids
When we heard about the first Tough Mudder Challenge in Melbourne, of course we thought it was a great idea and we both joined different teams. Always up for a challenge, we set off with our teams to tackle the 20km course and all the ostacles in our way including running through live wires to finish. Team work was a key factor in our sucess and as a result we had lots of fun!
We were proud to reach our target raising $2005, all of which went directly to supporting the corrective surgeries.
2010 Fundraiser -
"Jess and Jen's rally for the Kenyan Kids"
In September 2010 we hosted a fundraiser at the Tower hotel. This was a fun night of tunes, raffles, food and friends. Thanks to Nic and Charlie for the live tunes and Justin for DJing.
A total of $2750 was raised which assisted with many projects including the EARC swing set, beds and blankets, jumpers, a disability friendly toilet, hand therapy workshop for locals and corrective surgeries.
2009 Fundraiser -
Mt Kilimanjaro Climb
Following our time in Mumias, Jenni and I travelled south to Tanzania to tackle Kili. We hiked via the Machame route (the "whisky route" of course) and reached the summit after 4 days. The altitude was a challenge especially on the summit morning, but with perseverance we summited before sunrise reaching 5895m, the highest peak in Africa.
A total of $2075 was raised and directly contributed to sponsorship of corrective surgery cases.
